Meet Christian, the fearless force behind our brand. Starting with nothing, he hustled his way through the food and beverage world for 15 years, climbing the ranks from a humble Kitchen porter to dominating senior roles in the hospitality scene. Cooking wasn't just a passion for him—it was an obsession.
How it started
The journey didn't start as a business venture. Christian initially wanted a ceramic grill but found them to be too expensive. To solve this, he decided to import 10 off-the-shelf Kamado grills. His plan was simple: sell 9 grills to cover the cost and keep the 10th one for free.
But life had other plans. In 2019, Christian faced an unexpected layoff, hitting him hard and knocking him down to the lowest of lows. Yet, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Christian didn't stay down for long. Shortly after his redundancy payment came through, he took a massive risk and started buying in bulk. His bedroom became the HQ, and his garage became the epicenter of his hustle.
We Incorporated
In 2020, we officially incorporated, marking a significant milestone in our journey. Our first bulk shipment of Kamado grills arrived, and we launched our website, paving the way for our business to grow and thrive.
Moved into our first warehouse
In 2021, we reached another milestone by moving into our first warehouse. This significant step allowed us to expand our operations and better serve our growing customer base.
Heritage Meets Innovation
In 2022, we invested heavily in new products designed around the user experience. Recognising that the Kamado grill has a history spanning 3,000 years, we sought to innovate while respecting this rich tradition. Our focus was on enhancing the functionality and convenience of our products to meet modern needs. The first product to be launched after our investment was the best-selling V2 Kamado.
